Flaxen Sapphireal Gaze

Twilight pressed upon them with a slow chill
Just outside of the mead-hall stealing time
Granted but a moment to have their fill
In a hug found only in Skaldic rhyme

Though the stars began to make their eyes weary
Eddaic tales and laughs kept them awake
Striding mew-perched bison now seemed bleary
In poetic honor he now’ll partake

With sky now tossed into the depth of night
He finally let go of his Fay-so-fair
Mightier in mead than any known wight
Freyjan glances was all that she could share

Enthralled, he left longing about for days
Ellfrydah’s flaxen sapphireal gaze
